Shortness of breath while resting, normal or no?

I'm lying down in bed and suddenly feel like I can't catch my breath. Is this normal? I'm almost 16 weeks along.

Totally normal, it's because baby is getting bigger and smooshing all your organs together. My doctor is jealous because I can still lay on my back and breathe normally and get up myself at 32 weeks. She's 34 and hasn't been able too for months. Every woman is different! I can't even take my dog out to pee without getting out of breath.

It's normal and more common if you lay on your back. Try laying on your left side

I don't know if it's normal or not, but it has definitely happened to me too, and I'm 25 weeks along!

I get this if I lay flat on my back for too long. If changing positions helps then it's nothing to worry about.

Yes. It could be low blood pressure? I would get very tired in my first trimester to where I would feel exhausted even laying down. I usually run in the 115-120/70-80. When I checked it when I would get tired it would drop to around 90/70s.... your hormones can effect your blood pressure, mostly in the first trimester when your body is adjusting to all the changes...
