early labor contractions plus diarrhea?

I'm 40+2 and finally starting to feel some contractions. They are not consistent at all but painful none the less.

With each one I have a bowel movement to accompany. Is this pretty normal with early labor? I haven't lost my mucus plug or have had any bleeding the entire pregnancy.

What was your experience with starting labor?

Oh I also had my water being leaking a whole 24 hours before labor began!

Early labor contractions for me only felt like menstrual cramps, but they did come about 6 hours before the contractions that I couldn't really rest between. I think when they're so painful that you can't rest you should let your caregiver  know. They say when they are 5 minutes apart for an hour and last about a minute that's when you're ready to go in to the birthing facility. But everyone is different. I waited until then and I was dilated to 8/9cm! But still didn't have the baby for 6  hours. My friend progressed much more quickly in the active labor than I did. Hers only lasted 45 minutes.

I had some non consistent contractions at first so i tried walking around taking a warm bath and was still in pain. Not too long after that i was pooping and throwing up at the same time thats when the pains became regular about 2 min apart. We knew it was time to go in. Ftm btw.
