When to nurse?

If you plan to breastfeed how soon after your baby is born will they have you do that?

Usually within the first hour of birth ☺️

It's really soon after birth, we were still in the room I delivered in, I hadn't been moved yet. Baby didn't really latch well or get anything then, so they told me to do skin to skin at that time. They had me try again after we were moved to the room I stayed in for the rest of my time at the hospital. I just did what my nurses told me to do, they were great!

When i told the nurse my son 2 yrs ago the nurse looked at me like I was crazy. And didn't really want me to try.
