We are currently on our 17th month of TTC. That means 16 months of tracking fertility, symptom spotting every tiny change in my body, crushing disappointment after every bfn and sign of AF. We are both young and healthy so we thought going into it that it would happen quickly for us. Even my doctor encouraged us trying for just a little bit longer and holding out hope. There was no reason, she said, for us not to be able to conceive. But I've had enough. My husband is afraid to go to a specialist because he does not want to be told that we can not have children. I was finally able to get him to set a date for the beginning of 2017 to go see a specialist. I need to know why this isn't working and what we can do to finally bring our own bundle of joy into this world.
