IUD pain

Today and yesterday I've been having some random but very intense and sharp abdominal pain and I've noticed the past few weeks that I've had a very strong scent coming from down there. I had sex once on my IUD and it was painful and I had to stop, but other forms of deep penetration (fingering) feels great. My 6 week follow up is on Friday. Do you think something is wrong?? If so what?
