Deliveries are shorter each time?

Question

So I've heard both, "if you had a short labor with your first, it will most likely be short with future deliveries" & "if your first came early, then your second, third, and on, will most likely come early too".
Any truth to it? I don't necessarily believe it, but I'm sure there plenty of mommies to share their thoughts.

As far as birth, I had two premies. My youngest made it about a week past my first pregnancy due date... with labor is another story. With my first, I was in labor for 6 hours. With my second (from the time my water broke), I was in labor for about an hour.

5 babies and each did com earlier.. but times were 4 hours.. 4 hours.. just over 1 hour.. 4 hours and last was 3 hours.

Not true. My mom said I came super fast and I was early. My younger brother was a really slow labor and he was late. Heard the same from some of my friends.

Not true. I'm my mother's first child and her labor was 6 hours. All of her other labors were 8+ hours except for my sister, and my mom was only in labor for 2 hours from start to finish

My labors have been about the same amount of time but my first was born at 36+5 and my second was born at 40+6.

I'm pregnant with our 7th child and I swear to you, not ONE delivery was the same as any of the others... Early, late, natural, induced, emergency section and planned section... Seriously. Crazy. Hahahaha!

If that was true then Michelle Duggar can probably just sneeze and they come out. Every labour and delivery is different.
