Yes, but only through blood tests.

The test is called a Non-Invasive Prenatal Test (NIPT) or Cell-Free DNA test. It is more commonly known by brand names such as Harmony, Panorama, etc.

The test is primarily to detect chromosomal disorders such as Downs Syndrome, but since it it testing chromosomes, you can also find out the baby's sex using this test.

Anyone can have the test, but it is fairly expensive. Most insurance will only cover it under specific circumstances.

Aetna, for example, considers it to be an optional (non-covered) test unless the mother is over 35, has a family history of one of the screened diseases, or has had high-risk/elevated results on other tests (such as the sequential screen or nuchal translucency test).
