Who Cuts Your Babies nails?

Just out of curiosity.  Many of my friends have had their moms cut their babies nails for them.  I don't have that option so my SO stepped up as the official baby nail cutter since I am waaayyy to chicken.

I know this sounds gross, but I bite her finger nails. I saw another woman mention she did this to her kid on here so I tried it, and it's so easy. For whatever reason I'm able to get better precision with my teeth ten nail clippers. I'm also too afraid to use clippers Lol

I file them while she's milk-drunk and sleepy.

I cut the twins nails while sleeping. I have cut them once while awake also. I plan on trying to file them also.

My pediatrician showed me how to peel them off. It's similar to biting them off since they are so soft and just peel. I just take my fingernail and separate the nail from the skin and start with an edge. It works really well.

I have no problem cutting my baby girl's nails with clippers... I nurse her till she's asleep, then lay her on my lap and I can clip finger and toe nails without any problem... she's 9 weeks old now and I've been doing this twice a week or so since we came home from the hospital. Have never cut her skin. My sister in law was too scared to clip her daughter's nails, so she filed them instead.

I cut my sons. :) I'm just very patient with it and take my time. If you get their skin even once they'll start fighting you on it. So I'm super aware. He he pulls away I let him do it, I don't try to hold on to his hand, that way he doesn't get upset and I can continue.

I file my son's nails every few days while I'm nursing him - he never cares (fingers crossed he stays this way for a few more months!)

I cut them I just have my husband hold flashlight over her hands I use regular size or infant size nail clippers (depending on what I can find) and snip each one. Quick and easy can get all 3 kids done in 10 mins (hands and feet)
