Nervous about trip together

My boyfriend and I have been together for years now. Last year we went to Mexico to visit my family and this year we went again late July and we have booked our ticket to go back in December for three weeks. He's Colombian and we are going together for the first time since he wants me to meet his family. We're going in two weeks and will stay there for two weeks. We will be staying with his dad and the dads gf. I'm so nervous for some reason, I don't know if they even want me to go and I don't want to make anyone feel uncomfortable. I'm also really nervous because I've had pretty bad experiences with Colombians and I don't like Colombian food. Obviously I will try my best to have a good time specially since he's gone with me to visit my family and will be going again this year. I am so nervous of how his family will treat me because I've met a couple of his family members and they don't try to make a conversation with me, while my family in Mexico was all about making him feel comfortable and welcome. Anyone been through something like this?
