Baby crying out?

Baby will be 6 months this week and cries out in crib after being a sleep for a while like a scared cry and intense. She falls asleep as soon as i pick her up but its scary. Anyone else going through this?

Answer

Everyone goes through different stages of sleep. It could be that she is getting startled when she reaches the lightes stage of sleep which wakes her up. Doctor said that this is when they start forming habits which makes it worse because then it goes from being startled a few times to simply waking up on her own during those light sleep stages. Whenever my daughter(almost 7 months) wakes up, i walk over to her crib, turn on her noise machine/toy and rub her tummy until she calms down. I walk away before she falls asleep that way she is kind of putting herself back to sleep. 
I have read that its possible for children to get night terrors/nightmares but i dont have any experience with that, sorry.
