IUD in arm? anyone?

Has anyone else gotten the IUD in their arm recently? I got mine about two months ago and my last period was 2 days late and lasted 8 days. The first 3 days were light spotting and the last 5 days were regular period. This month, it is now 6 days late and hasnt even started spotting yet. My boyfriend has came in me recently and I'm a little worried that the birth control could have failed. Just wanted to see if anyone else has had this problem with their IUD? Please help!

Iud doesn't go in your arm. It's called inter uterine device because it goes in your uterus.

You don't have an IUD, you have the implant.

Due to the implant being progestin only, periods can become irregular.
You may have a period every month, every other month, or not at all.

Basically, your natural cycle is obsolete. Your implant controls your cycle now.

The risk of pregnancy is less than 1%, as the implant is 99.9% effective against pregnancy.

I think you mean nexplanon/bar which is another LARC: long acting reversible contraceptive. IUDs go inside the uterus, Nexplanon goes into the arm.
