The concern with soft serve ice cream is actually the machine not being cleaned properly so if you trust the place you are eating it from you should be ok.

My dr said to not eat soft serve so I've followed her instructions. She said most cheeses are fine, just the ones made with unpasteurised milk (Brie etc) can't be consumed. Also no deli meats or undercooked eggs, pre-cut fruit etc

No. It's not the same as cheese, the problem isn't that's it's just dairy. It's dairy that has been sitting in a machine all day/week/etc. It hasn't bothered me at all to just have regular ice cream.

I eat soft serve ice cream but only rarely, I've only had it 3 times this pregnancy. I only eat deli meat if I heat it till it's steaming and I avoid all the other things they say you shouldn't eat.

You can eat it. It's like cheese. Just needs to be in moderations. Hispanics eat cheese throughout pregnancy. Whatever ethnicity eats sushi they still do.
