lost my mucous plug

Yesterday at my appointment my doctor said I was 2.5 cm dilated and 70% effaced. Just now I had some cramping and then I went to the bathroom and my mucous plug had come out. I'm 37w3d and a FTM. I've been so anxious for my baby to come, but I still have some last minute things to finish up at work before I go on maternity leave. Does losing your mucous plug mean that the baby is coming really soon? Or do I still have a little bit of time?
