Fire babysitter?

Would you fire babysitter if she fell asleep with 3 month old on her? Baby was laying horizontal across her belly.

As a babysitter myself, I could never sleep with a 3 month old just for the fact that it's dangerous! Let alone putting other people's children at risk. I do not agree with the "you're not paying her to sleep" situation though. If I'm tired and the baby is sleeping (safely, nearby where I could hear her) then why not take a little snooze until the baby wakes up? Nobody that hires me has an issue with it!

I'm more concerned that the baby was on her while she slept. That is dangerous. I vote to fire.

If the baby was safely sleeping in a pack & play/crib that would be one thing but that's just not safe!! 😬

Honestly, maybe she just got sleepy with your baby on her and they fell asleep. I can say that I myself am guilty of it. BUT I do not think it's safe at all. Firing her is a little harsh considering nothing harmed the baby... Just talk to her about your concerns. And also, I babysat before I had my own child and would sleep when the baby was asleep.. It's just as exhausting for babysitters as it is for moms. I personally take "sleep when baby sleeps" very seriously, because he's content when he's awake so I can get house chores done. Just talk to her, I'm sure she didn't mean to!!

Depends, if she is otherwise a fabtastic babysitter I would just talk to her about abd tekk her not to let it happen again and explain why.

No. I'd have told her that if she's gonna fall asleep she needs to sleep on the floor where baby can't roll away or get squished. Same goes for moms. But moms fall asleep in awful positions all the time because our culture scared everyone about co sleeping.
