pain meds??

I've been seeing a lot of post lately of how women are getting pain meds after delivering their babies. Is this a new thing or is it not offered everywhere? Cause when I had my son I wasn't even offered a Tylenol lol

If you don't tear or have a c section, otc meds should be fine!

I was also offered meds after both my pregnancies for cramping and overall soreness.

Really? I was offered motrin and vicodin .. had a 1st degree tear only needed 1/2 vicodin after being 3 hours late on a motrin dose and couldnt catch up but at my hospital (i work there too ) everyone is ordered for motrin and a narcotic and its.up to the patient if they want anything

Really?  I was offered ibuprofen after delivery and the remaining stay at the hospital.
