Anyone that has had a baby shower ....did you always get everything that you put on there??

I had extremely generous friends and family but only got about 50% of the things on my registry. This was a bummer because lots of the things left were the "need" items. I had about $1,000 left of stuff to get - but luckily after using store registry discount and gift cards I got it down to $500. (Still a bummer tho - had been hoping to save the gift cards to use on diapers or unexpectedly needed things) I ended up getting TONS of baby clothes at my shower...and these were not from my registry. (I purposely didn't put clothes on the registry since I had already received TONS of hand-me-downs from my cousins and some friends) ... Oh well, what can ya do! I appreciate everyone's generosity but sometimes it's most helpful to the mom-to-be to just stick with her registry (or gift cards) so you know you're getting her the things she needs and to avoid duplicates.

My shower was just this weekend. We did not receive everything on our registry - nor did we expect to - but to our surprise we actually did get most of it! Our friends and family were extremely generous and hubby and I are beyond grateful. We got most of the big ticket items (will still need to buy a jumperoo and diaper pail, though), basically all of the middle range stuff, and then a lot of people went off registry to buy things like clothes, wash cloths, burp cloths, bibs, etc. That said, we were careful to register only for things that we really needed, in hopes that we would receive the important things (which we did). We did not register for any clothes (and we didn't need to - we got SO many clothes!!)

I had my shower couple weeks ago, we got travel system stroller , playard, swing, crib, blankets, sheet...from my registry. Also we got a lot clothes and shoes too! I think we were lucky😍

Just had my shower a couple weeks ago and I only got 2 things off my registry but we did get a lot of clothes and diapers and wipes bottles ,baby soap etc

No you likely won't get everything.  But most registries offer a discount on whatever is left!
