Membrane Sweep
I am 39 weeks today so my doctor did a membrane sweep while checking my cervix. I have been dilated to a 1 for three weeks now and my cervix has not softened, and if I don't go into labor before Wednesday I'm getting induced (due to husbands work schedule). So he asked if I wanted it done I said anything to speed the process because I did NOT want to be induced again. I was induced with my first born and it was long and miserable.
Anyway my question is, how successful has it been for everyone else like me that's 1cm and cervix not soft? I've been hoping and praying it's successful. My doctor said he did it to someone last week and the next day she had her baby. I've been cramping ALL day since I had it done at 11:50am this morning. Mild contractions (maybe BH).
