antibiotics during pregnancy??

Has anyone ever been prescribed antibiotics during pregnancy? My doctor wants me to take a low dose of antibiotics for the rest of my pregnancy. It does not seam right to me and am wondering if I should have a second opinion. I had a kidney infection at 20 weeks. That's why he wants me to take antibiotics. To prevent a future one.

I had a kidney stone while pregnant with my son. I was put on one antibiotic tablet every day from 20 weeks. Didn't affect the pregnancy at all. I was told it's better to take it at night

I had erithromyicin for a week for a chest infection which was safe

They usually perscribed antibiotics if you have a UTI but they are usually aren't perscribed for the duration of the entire pregnancy. Maybe for a week or so then they test you again and see if the infection is gone

Yes, I was. My doctor tried to tell me I had a UTI, but I knew I had just pulled a muscle getting out of bed (yes, for real, lol). I never took them and was fine. The groin pain went away.

PS. They later told me the UTI test came back negative, after asking me if I was still taking my antibiotics. (Oops on their end).
