How often do you see your inlaws?

If you live in relatively close proximity, how often do you see your inlaws? Do you have a plan? Is it inconvenient? Does it interfere with your nuclear family at home? Is it uncomfortable (with your SO) if you don't get along with the inlaws?

My MIL is horrible so I see them as little as possible.

My husbands parents are divorced so I see both of them quite often. We see each other a couple times a week. Every big family function we have have or birthday they both show up. I txt his mom and step mom a lot too just to talk. We're all really close. I love it especially for my kids. They can have that close relationship with them too

I've never met my FIL but I see MIL at least once a week but only because I do laundry at her house.

I don't get to see my father-in-law as much as I would like. He and my husband are miners and have tough work schedules. FIL is such a good man 😊

My in laws live seven hours driving by car but we see them almost every month because they do business or are passing through our city often. I love them so it's no problem for me. Just got back from a weekend with them actually

Oh I should add, if I have ever had an issue with something they did and spoken to my husband he has always had my back (if they are in the wrong) and spoken to them.

My inlaws live 7 mins from us, I love my inlaws, however sometimes they over stay their welcome lol. My husband is extremely close to his parents and although I sometimes find it strange or annoying, it's nice to think our kids might be the same way when they get older. Although I get frustrated at times with the last min drop ins, that only last for 15'mins and then leave (just long enough to get my kids all riled up lol), my kids love them so much. It's also so nice to be able to text my MIL last min to watch one or all of the kids if something comes up, or on the nights my husband works late she will come give me some relief to relax, sleep, or get stuff done in the house.
