34 weeks labor?

I am at 34 weeks n have been having cramps for a week as well as back pain and I'm constantly using the restroom...I went to er yesterday n they said while I am having irregular contractions I am not dilated at all to go home...is this Braxton hicks? I don't remember the contractions being this strong with my first one.

I wouldn't say Braxton hicks if the er didn't. I think every labor is different. My first contractions weren't too bad until I started dilating. My second I literally stopped walking in the middle of the road because it hurt. My third I didn't have any because he had to be induced.
