So how long after birth did u mommies wait to take a shower? Just curious.

The day after I gave birth I took a shower and it was glorious!

I showered about 24 hours after delivery. I had a water birth and didn't feel that nasty. I did feel awesome after the shower though!

My nurses have always helped me shower just hours after birth. It feels so wonderful and refreshing, you feel human again!

With my first, I took a shower as soon as the pain medication and epidural wore off so I was safe to shower without risking a fall. I plan to do the same with baby #2, he's due to come in 3 weeks via induction unless he decides to make his grand appearance early.

Gave birth in the morning. Took a shower that night.

Within 2 hours I think...Wasn't really timing things. We had lots of skin to skin and first feed etc. With ds1 I had to wait to be stitched up and ds2 we delayed cord clamping.
