I think that's a very good question. Personally I think marijuana should be prescribed to EVERY pregnant woman. Just think of all the things it would help (anxiety, nausea, tension, dehydration).

There is precedent set in the Supreme Court that pregnant women cannot be charged with child abuse or negligence for consuming cannabis while pregnant. In most states, YOU can test positive for marijuana durning pregnancy, but it only matters if your babies placenta or first poop tests positive for marijuana. How that is dealt with varies, there are two states where women have had their babies taken by CPS and then returned after various actions have been taken (from rehab to parenting classes to home inspections), but those are very rare and extreme cases that even the prosecutors and government officials in those states publicly disagreed with. In the vast majority of states, if your baby tests positive for marijuana, you will have to speak to a CPS worker before you leave the hospital, to confirm your fitness as a parent. You will leave with your child on a normal timeframe unless they find a serious problem.

Maybe in pill or edible consumption form of thc it would be ethically ok, legally I'm not sure. But pretty sure smoke is not good for baby, and with baby being the size of a watermelon or smaller the potency that it recieves is gonna be much higher than what you feel. Cannabis is amazing, don't get me wrong, I just think there's other ways to deal with Naseau and anxiety and such other than smoking weed lol
