Update: miscarriage...7 weeks, bleeding, minor cramps

This is my first pregnancy ever, and today marks the beginning of my 7th week of pregnancy according to my LMP. Over the weekend, I started noticing super light pink spotting, but didn't think much of it. My husband and I had intercourse once on Sunday , and then by Monday, I was spotting for sure. I immediately called the doctor, and she assured me that it sounded normal, put me on pelvic rest (no intercourse) and to keep my scheduled appointment for next week for the u/s. As the day progressed, so did the spotting/bleeding. By evening, I began having minor cramping and I began to panic. My husband began to call some of the stand alone ER to ask if they could do an u/s while I called my doctor. The on-call dr. called me back and said that if the bleeding becomes heavier than the heaviest flow I've ever had, then I should head to the ER, otherwise, just relax and keep an eye on the bleeding. I cried so hard last night, thinking I would have to come to grips with a potential mc. I eventually was able to fall asleep, but woke up early this morning to more cramping and bleeding. I tried to ease my anxiety and crawled back in bed, but was awoken to a call from my OB/GYN to come in for an u/s and blood work ASAP. Now we are playing the waiting game until the results come back and the dr. tells us what to do next.
