What to give a mom who just gave birth??

A friend of mine just gave birth, I'm going to visit her once she is home. So I want to bring something for the baby and something for her too.but don't know what to buy her, what do you recommend for a mom who just gave birth via c section??

A nice homecooked meal! I had a c section and it was a pain to be up by myself with the baby throughout the day, having to cook food.

If you know she has a freezer full of lasagne, gift cards to local delivery restaurants are good too.

Like most others said, FOOD! A homemade meal that can be frozen or refrigerated a couple of nights, just in case. And snack stuff! Homemade granola, muffins, banana bread or zucchini breads. Immediately postpartum I only wanted carbs! I was eating tons building up my supply. Are you close friends? I had people offer to clean or do my laundry, but I didn't feel comfortable with most people who offered.
