Paragard iud expelled?

So ive had the paragard for three months now. I was told that bleeding and cramping would be heavier and it has been. However this month i am now five days late for my period and i cant feel my strings anymore. I could feel them before but now i cant and idk if maybe they r just up higher right now and im just late or if its something i need to be concerned about. Opinions welcome
