belly piercing-normal?

So I have a scar from where my navel rejected. It is a thick little lump of skin that's still red and scarred. Is this normal? It's been looking pretty inflamed lately but not painful

honestly it looks normal. this area takes a long time to heal in fgeneral, getting a piercing and removing one. I tool mine out 3 years ago and it looks the same as the day I took it out. (not red anymore though)

How long since you took it out? If it's still pretty fresh (within 6 months) that's normal. It's just a build up a scar tissue & since it was rejected it's going to be funky looking/irritated

It will go down in time mine did the same and now mines a white scar I didn't put anything on it if you get it redone it'll only do the same as I had mine done twice and it's happened both times

I had to do the same thing a few months back. There is this coconut oil stuff you can buy at Walmart for super cheap and you just rub it on the area three times a day and it helps reduce the redness and it breaks down the scar tissue so there isn't a knot in it anymore. My piercer recommended it since I want to get mine redone and I highly recommend it!
