What are you scared of the most with motherhood?

I'm honestly more scared of the next 18+ years compared to childbirth 😂😣

I'm not even pregnant yet but I think about this every day. I'm terrified of turning into what my stepmother was to me and my sisters. Bipolar, passive aggressive, unpredictable, paranoid, attention-needy. And my biological mom wasn't all that great either, at least from what I can remember from my childhood. She had a drinking problem, cheated on my dad, left me and my sister when I was 5, and after the divorce she wanted to still see us for the legally required custody visits, but refused to take full responsibility for us full time. She was too busy partying I guess.

I am not any of the above right now, but sometimes I sense a bit of my stepmom or a bit of my biological mom inside me... and it scares the shit out of me because I never want to do that to my future children. I want to be NORMAL and balanced for them. No more drama. SO SICK OF FAMILY DRAMA.

I'm scared of not liking it as much as I thought I would. I'm scared of ruining the kid. I'm scared of our relationship turning into the one I have with my mother (rocky,  at best.)

I'm most freaked about how little control I know I'll have over the many, many influences that will be in my child's life; in-laws with substance abuse problems, kids future friends, possible crummy teachers/coaches... I worry about having a child that deals with issues of self-confidence (probably because I did) and how that can leave them vulnerable to peer pressure, unsafe/risky behaviors, or poor decision making. 
That and all the sleep I'll miss out on 😂

I'm a teacher and I'm scared to have "that kid" that we teachers often think parents could be either doing more for or doing less for. I'm finding myself less judgemental of parents now that I'm becoming one myself... We're all doing the best we can.

I'm scared about dealing with 2 kids. I grew up pretty much a single child so I haven't got a clue of what is in store for me
