when do they check dilation?

I can't remember as it's been 3 years.
I'll be 33 weeks on Sunday. I woke up this morning with major pain. I had a c section 3 years ago, and I'm trying a VBAC this go around.
Anyways, when I woke up it was major pain that it had me almost on my knees. Baby is moving around just not as active. Throughout the day, it would come and go. I have an OB apt tomorrow for my check up. Do they start dilation check at 32 weeks?

Most places won't check unless you ask. I didn't get one until 39 weeks. ☺️
It's a risk of infection and really means nothing.

My midwife checked me at 38 weeks, again at 39 weeks (did a sweep both times) and I am due tomorrow

The only time I was checked for dilation was when I was being admitted to the hospital in active labor. I had contractions four minutes apart lasting for a minute.
