Any moms who didn't get a travel system?

Question

I don't have an infant stroller and I plan to get a grow with me car seat instead of just an infant one.

Have any other mothers done this/are going to? Wondering how hard it will be to manage without! I'm a FTM. I plan to just wear my baby with a wrap/carrier instead of tugging the car seat around like I see everyone else.

Advice on how not having a travel system went?

I'm not planning on a travel system, with my son I never used a stroller until he was a little older and out of a the carrier carseat. My travel system went to waste because I bought him a compact stroller eventually. I donr even know what I didn with thr travel system I must of donated it to a friend or something. To me for my needs  its pointless, I'll just be buying a car seat and then a stroller when this baby is closer to 6 months, if I even need one. When he was tiny I always primarily used the baby wrap everywhere I went home, stores, walks, outtings. He did better that way and didn't ever cry in public. It just really depends on your life style and what activities you do with baby. My advice is do what feels right there is no right and wrong, you don't have to have all the products,  because from experience most of them never get used or rarily get used. Just focus on the ones that fit your life and needs :)

Didn't use an infant seat with this baby (3rd) and so happy! She is in a clek Fllo car seat, which she can be in until she is ready for a seatbelt, and it rearfaces to 42 inches! I baby wear most of the time, and we have a britax bready stroller that she goes in for family walks.

I don't get a travel system but I did get an infant carrier. This is my 3rd pregnancy and i will use the infant carrier again. The convenience is so worth it! I use it for at least the first year and I can't imagine not having one. I don't use it with a stroller though.

I'm not buying a travel system.  I have a car seat and a few different baby carriers.  I'll buy a little umbrella stroller when he's a little older. Where i live strollers are pretty useless. I think they are used very little for how much they cost.

My daughter actually preferred to be carried in the carrier rather than a car seat, so I had both and did eventually use both. At first I had to, our winters are too cold and she was born in January, so keeping her in the car seat while running errands was really the only way to keep her warm when transitioning from outside to inside, because you aren't supposed to wear bulky clothes on a baby in the car seat. So we did a warm sleeper with the car seat covers and blankets

I only got the travel system because we will be picking up my sons dad from his deployment when he's a month or so old! I didn't want to have to baby wear for the whole day (homecoming can be an ALL day event, so I wanted to be able to put him down) Other than that day, I plan to baby wear. (My travel system was only $70 on clearence from Target, but it's a $400 system that someone returned in store because they got one as a gift at their baby shower lol, unopened perfect condition) I don't think it's going to be too bad not having a travel system for you, my sister rarely used hers.

I didn't carry around the car seat. It was darn heavy! It's bad for their backs to spend long periods of time in them anyway.
