My son said his first word "dada" at 11 months. Now at 15 months hes saying and knows the meaning of the words. Dada, mama, baba, uh oh, uh uh (shakes head means no), bye bye, poo poo, pee pee, little girl (our dog) although it sounds more like li girl but he knows what her name is and tries to get her treats from the cabinet. he says this, that, doggy, owie, he says his name(dj)  and a few others i cant remember at 5am lol so every bodys baby is different. my son didnt even baby talk or anything then all of the sudden said dada and its like every week its a new word. Babies will talk when they are ready
