overactive letdown ?! 😭

My left breast has an overactive letdown and I don't know how to fix it.  My baby is only ten days old 😔

It happens in the begging but should calm down as your breast start to get used to how much to produce. My baby would unlatched bc it was too much and get sprayed all over her face. Hilarious but sad at the same time. I would feel the let down and unlatch while holding a burp cloth over my breast for a minute until I felt it calm down and pop her back on. I don't suggest pumping before you can give your self a foremilk hindmilk imbalance and actually cause your breast to make even more milk. It should calm down, but as someone else said use gravity as a helper by changing the position you feed in and also check out Kelly mom, that site has saved me many of times!!!

I have it on both sides....try changing feeding position so baby doesn't get too much at once. Try laying on your back or feed baby in a more sat up position. Also you can try taking baby off during the feed and squeezing some milk out into a cloth then let baby latch again. Other idea is block feeding, if baby is being fed again less than two hours since the last feed then put baby back onto the same breast. 
It should calm down after about 4-6 weeks when your breasts know how much milk to make x

You don't really fix it, you just have patience. If baby has a hard time with it you can try nursing while you're lying on your back. Or Google kelly mom and see what ideas she has.

I don't think there is a way to fix it. I had it on both sides with both my kids.

Maybe try to pump before feeding to get the initial let down out.
