I dont think they should be taxed but they shouldnt be free... if your struggling with money you could invest in reusable menstrual products as they last years

The thing about them being 'luxury' items is because they're taxed as 'luxuries' not essential, which is wrong.

I don't think you should be given them for free unless you're in need and go to a non-profit or health clinic for help. If that's how far in need you are though then they should be giving you reusable products so as to lower cost and give you a long term solution.
I don't know whether or not it should have the luxury tax though because there are many reusable products we could use so in a sense tampons and pads could be seen as a luxury.
I think either way we should move away from single use products to reusable ones because they cost less in the long run for the consumer and have a lower effect on our environment in part by lowering waste.

I am 15 and I have to pay for these things myself as I should know what it is like to live in the real world. In Scotland it's pretty cheap for these things but nobody wants to have a period possibly, if it was men and women that went though this obviously not then it would be like a prescription on the NHS no doubt. I don't know really, I am not a fan on those reusable products and I have a job so it's not like a money problem sometimes some things annoy me more than others when I think about it. I know things will never change this way
