Has anyone had membranes scraped before?

My baby is measuring two weeks ahead right now.  I had a csection with my first and I'm really wanting to vbac with this one.  Since he's big (and healthy!) my dr is going to scrape my membranes at my 36 week appointment to help me go in to labor so I can hopefully vbac and not have him be huge.  Does it hurt?  Will I go into labor that day or within a few days of her doing that? Any tips would be helpful!!

Those measurement are never accurate. I measured 4 weeks ahead with my first and she was only 7 lbs full term. Baby comes when it's ready,

I had it done with my second, labor began within 8 hours. It was pretty uncomfortable to say the least, but like they say, compared to labor it's nothing lol

I had it done with two of my three and I too make big babies.  First one it didn't work at all but with the second it did and labor started within a 12 hours.  I've heard it generally works in the first 24 hours if it's going to work at all.  It's uncomfortable but when you think about actual labor, it's not that bad!!

I went into labor 5 hrs later, a little painful but nothing u cant handle

I did with my first and it didn't seem to make me go into labor, it still took me day or two to go into labor. Baby just had other plans! The scraping was painful!!

I heard that it's pretty painful. And for some women it works, others it doesn't. Some start having contractions withing a few hours of having it done and others go a week atleast with no change and their doctors do it again
