Should I request a sonogram?

My first baby! Due November 9th. I haven't had a sonogram since I was 20 weeks, should I ask the doctor if I can get another sonogram to see if everything is looking ok? We're not sure on the gender, due to the lady that was doing my last sonogram had no idea what she was looking for!

You should try to request a growth scan so it will be covered by insurance. I just had mine I'm due November 10th, they rechecked the gender too even though i didn't need the reassurance lol.

Most insurance companies only cover 2-3 per pregnancy unless you're high risk or carrying multiples. Sometimes they do one at 36 weeks but not always. You can request one but it doesn't mean thy do one.
Most of the time when the ladies are posting on here about tons of ultrasounds, it's because they're paying out of pocket.

I asked my doctor about having another one, since my last was for the anatomy scan. I'm getting one next week at 36 weeks, he said it's just to check and see if he's still growing correctly and check fluid levels and stuff
