It's a GIRL! 💕

Abigail May Burton arrived at 8.11pm on Wednesday 12 October (due date was the 3rd!). A little dot weighing in at 2.8kg, and just 45cm long. 

I was probably actually in early labour from around 9pm Tues night but thought it was just the steak I had out for tea for my mum's birthday 😂😂😂 I had a few random/irregular tummy cramps overnight - my 6 year old daughter, Katherine, has also been unwell so thought it could have been that too.

We had a check up with midwife booked for 12.30pm Wednesday anyway so we came over to that and she confirmed it was early contractions and at 2pm cervix was soft, stretchy & effaced but still a little high and not open yet, so we went home around for a bath & a rest.

I jumped in the bath at home from probably 3-5pm, just breathing through contractions but then my mum said she thought we should come back to the hospital (about half hour drive away) as with Katherine she said it seemed to only take about 30 mins to go from 0-100 and we had to take into account the drive etc.

So we drove over around 6pm and when midwife checked I was 9cm! So laboured until around 7.45pm then began push, and she arrived at 8.11pm...

It was definitely harder/more work than Katherine! But my mum said I am still a quick / lucky birther though.
