breast milk going away, help???

My baby is 2 weeks old and is being fed formula and is breastfeeding. In the last two days I've noticed my boobs get way smaller and the amount of milk I pump has gone down a lot. Any suggestions on how to make my milk come back?

Supplementing can definitely affect your supply since your infant isn't nursing breastmilk as much as an infant exclusively on breastmilk. Your body is simply leveling out. When my supply dipped (affected by medication), I started pumping in between feedings and took Fenugreek - it's a natural herb that increases milk production and was doctor recommended. You can literally find it anywhere: Walmart, Walgreens, etc.

Your body will only produce the milk your asking it to. If you put more demand on your supply, more will be produced. If you're worried about not having enough I'd try to not formula feed and stick to only breast. The first 4 weeks are crucial to teaching your body just how much your baby needs at each feeding. Also make sure you're feeding on both sides equally.
