Gestational hypertension 😦

So yesterday I went for a NST because my blood pressure has been running high the past week. It's normal in the morning but spikes up to 140/80s-150/80s in the afternoon. They started me on labetolol 200mg to get my pressure down. I hate the idea that I'm taking medication during pregnancy considering I haven't even had a Tylenol this entire time. It's a class C medication, so there are potential risks but only on a long term basis from what I've read/what doc said. Is anybody else taking this???
