thinking about being induced

I know it's good for baby to stay in as long as possible, but I have a strong feeling my little guy is gonna be overdue. I want to be induced on my due date or the day before if he doesn't decide to come on his own next week. Plus, I'm still measuring at 34 weeks and am 39 weeks today. My mom is flying down and is gonna be here from October 18th-25th and I'm due on October 22nd. I'm so scared she is gonna miss him being born and it's not like she can turn around and come back because she lives over 1,000 miles away if he is overdue. I don't know when I will get to travel to see her again after the baby as well. I want my baby to come naturally, but I want my mom to be able to be apart of the process. Do you think my doctor will allow it?
