Down syndrome? 20 Week Ultrasound

Being my first baby I elected to have the normal blood work screening and ultrasound to screen for any abnormalities and I'm kind of regretting I ever did 😔After my  20 week ultrasound my mid wife explained that all my results had come back normal such as blood work however abnormalities were found on the measurements of my baby's nuchal fold (back of the babies neck) which is indication of downsyndome or another genetic disorder. I was crushed & was told I would be referred to genetic counseling to go over everything and then determine if I wanted to have an amniocentesis. I went to the genetics doctor and she advised be that my baby's measurements are considered mildly abnormal he is at 5mm and abnormal is considered 6mm and above. It did make me feel a little better but it's still scary to go through. My husband and I are choosing not to do amniocentesis for the fear of miscarriage. I'm just going to accept that things are the way they are. Please send me your prayers. I know I will love my baby no matter what but every mother dreams of having a healthy normal baby the idea of not having the baby I dreamed of is just hard to deal with. Has anyone had this experience before? Any advice words of wisdom appreciated 💙
