Any baby wise moms?

I just finished reading the first Baby wise book and all I can say is WTF. How could I be so oblivious to these common sense things. It also reassured me that I am doing most of the things right. I can't see why so many people are against this book for the "so called cry it out". Seriously this book isn't like that. What's the difference between a baby whining in the crib vs in my arms. Cry is so normal for babies and they don't advocate doing it in excess. My son gets more irritated when I try to rock or cuddle and just wants to be put down to do it himself. For those who had colic babies crying is the way of life. I am seriously loving the book and to be honest I will forever gift this to every prego friend I know.
