Water breaking ??

Question

So I'm a FTM and I've been having a lot of contractions all night. Most of them just uncomfortable but frequent and long (every 2-3 mins), and some of them very hard, waking me up.

I went to the bathroom, and when I got back into bed I blew my nose and then it got all wet! My panties were soaked and there was liquid on my mattress too. Not at all the same texture as the usual leaks I have. It's really like water... could that be my water starting to break? Is it possible that the water leaks a little at a time ? I mean there's a considerable amount of liquid but it's not that much...

Did you get ahold of your ob/midwife? That sounds like possibly your water to me.

It could be your water breaking. Lay down for 1-2 hours and when you stand up, if you leak again you'll know it was your water breaking.

I was told to go to the hospital if having contractions every 3-4 minutes or less for 2 hours so with u having contractions every 2-3 minutes and leaking I'd go straight there. If everything's ok then no harm done but better safe than sorry
