I used to joke with them and use their insults. Like example they say I'm ugly and I would just respond "yeah I know right ugh" or they call me fat and I'd say something like "you act like this is news to me? Nice try" and literally they would just give up. However, just speaking up in general will get them off your back.

I'm in high school too. I don't get bullied but I don't have any friends, by choice because I think everyone in that stupid school is imature and needs to grow up. I have gotten bullied before and from time to time someone will be rude or petty and all I do is just look at them a certain way like really? And I just say are you trying to insult me? If you are I really don't care. It's not going to work because I really don't care about anything YOU have to say. Then they shut up.
