When to tell work

I am about 5 weeks along and I am really struggling about when to tell my boss. I had a miscarriage about 5 years ago and I was only 13 weeks along , my water broke and I ended up losing about four pints of blood total. So I am worried that something may happen while I'm at work and I want her to be aware of the situation. I know we all worry about this when we get pregnant , when were you ladies going to tell work

I want to wait to tell my boss till after 3 months or at least till I see baby is all ok, I'm supervisor though so can dedicate heavy duty to someone else, like getting someone else to change the gorgeous Buddha babies, (I work with children lol) interested to know where you work? I know it's so scary and think your boss should be aware to have you on light duties to ensure full safety to you and your precious gem but want to limit knowledge just incase as every parent fears..... but congratulations and I wish you an amazing and safe pregnancy xx

I'm going to tell my work as soon as it's confirmed. I don't want them to suspect and find out by accident then decide to fire me so they don't have to pay me maternity. Once I've told them the law here protects me from being fired, and they have to allow me to go to pregnancy related Dr appointments. At the moment I have beg and plead and practically offer a kidney to be allowed to go to one.
The other thing is because I work with kids they are supposed to announce when there is a case of something like chicken pox or rubella. But they never tell staff unless they know someone is pregnant. I think there are also things my work won't be able to force e to do if I'm pregnant.  So although I'd prefer to wait I'm telling them asap to protect myself and my baby.

I already told my bosses at work at 8 weeks. I've been really sick and needed them to know so I could have someone watch my room while I go puke.

I would confide in HR now. I had a stillbirth @25weeks in May of this year. I had only just returned back to work when i found out i was expecting again. I was so happy but it also bought back so many painful memories so i needed time to get my head around it so took some time off. I confided in HR who have been so good and given me all the support i need x

I told my boss right away but won't tell my team for a while. It's important to me that my boss knows so he can support me in my medical & scheduling needs. Haven't decided when to tell my team. It might be dicatated by when I start to show as my uniform is fitted, high-waisted dress pants!
