do or don't?!

Do you get the flu shot when you're 8 weeks pregnant or stay away?!
My doctor told me to get it but I just can't bring myself to actually getting because I am so scared how it may effect the baby.

I get my flu shot every year because I have asthma and the flu could be really dangerous for me. This year I got it 8 weeks pregnant and had no complications 😊

I'm not big on the idea of the shot. Some years I've gotten it, others I haven't, and I've never had a reaction either way. I've not had the flu since I was pretty young, either. I think if you're a generally clean person, you wash your hands regularly and don't constantly have your fingers in your mouth or on your face, you're giving yourself as much protection as the shot offers. That being said, my sister in law had cancer and is now in remission, her doctor asked her to have everyone around her get the shot, because she has no immune system to speak of after chemo. So I'll probably end up getting one this year, out of respect for her.

The flu shot is pointless because the shot won't protect you from the actual germs that cause you to become sick. Also everyone I know who's gotten the flu shot ended up terribly sick after. I'm all for vaccines but the flu shot... no thank you

I got mine done at 28 weeks I think along with my TDAP vaccine and I didn't get sickness from it :-) I think to be better safe than sorry

I got in the hospital when i delivered and had no problem. Didnt get sick or anything. Its better than having your baby get sick. Its flu season out there

I'm staying far far away from that vaccine. The two times in have ever had the flu was the two times I got that shot. Never again. I don't allow my children to get it either. So far I have a almost 8 yo and 5yo and they have never had the shot nor had the flu. They go to public school and have really never been sick at all.
