Announcement Question???

Hi everyone!! FTM here, I am only ten weeks at the moment but my first trimester is up shortly before my cousins wife is slated to give birth to their first child. In an effort to not steal her thunder I have chosen not to tell that side of the family until after she gives birth. She is due the 17th of November and I really wanted to announce on Thanksgiving but I'm wondering if that is to soon after or if I should wait another few weeks??

I think that's very sweet of you to consider someone else's situation. Not many people do these days. My sister was graduating college (something that was very challenging for her) and I knew I was pregnant but didn't want to take away from that time for her with the whole family there celebrating HER accomplishment. Thanksgiving is a wonderful time to announce. And since you're a FTM- you won't be showing yet--->your little secret😘

I didn't announce until 20 weeks. It was fun because not only were they finding out we were pregnant, but we also told them we were having a girl at the same time. Thanksgiving sounds perfect!

People generally wait 12 weeks because that's when the biggest risk for miscarriage is over. I say go for Thanksgiving! Congrats
