Gestational Diabetes?

I was diagnosed with Gestational Diabetes. I hate EVERYTHING about it. I know I shouldn't feel ashamed about it, but I do. It's well controlled with diet so far, but still. Anyone else dealing with this diagnosis?

I was diagnosed with GD at about week 11. I'm currently 28 weeks, and I have been able to control it with diet and exercise. I do check my sugar levels 3 times a day. There is also a GD group on this add where you can find helpful information!

I was diagnosed with it at 16 weeks, and since then my sugars have been elevated to 133+ at fasting... so I'm seen at the high risk doctor every 4 weeks and my ob at every 2 weeks. I am on 26 units of insulin now 😔 Which was the last thing I wanted. Even being on insulin my fasting sugars run around 116. They still can't get them under control. I'm not sure what their next step will be.

I was diagnosed with it about 2 weeks ago. I feel you 😔 I've gotten used to the diet, however, I'm finding it hard to control my fasting number in the morning. They are wanting it to be <95 and mine seems
To be between 95 and 107 but this morning it was 112 and I don't understand what I'm doing wrong at night or if there's a secret snack combination I can't figure out before bed. Super frustrated and have an appointment tomorrow. I really don't want to be out on medication or insulin.

I have it also. So far I'm diet controlled as well and have been able to eat just about anything I have tried so far (of course no sweets) but I'm getting pretty bummed about the idea of not being able to enjoy some Halloween candy or thanksgiving and Christmas meals. It's worth it for a healthy baby though, I just have to keep telling myself that

I have it and had it my first pregnancy too. I'm the only person in my family to get it. It's an adjustment getting used to it all. I'm on oral medications for it
