Before anyone jumps down my throat and calls me a junky, read my reason for this post please! I was prescribed Xanax for severe anxiety and panic disorder about 2 years ago and I promptly stopped taking it before we tried to conceive. I've been doing well without it BUT I'm going in for a dental procedure that will require shots and that's a MAJOR trigger for my panic disorder. I'm currently 14 weeks pregnant and I was wondering what everyone's thoughts were about me taking my Xanax before the procedure. I haven't taken it in about 7 months. I would never intentionally cause harm to my baby so it would be a ONE time thing. I have looked up the risks, but most, if not all, are from long term use. Of course I'm going to ask my doctor first, but I wanted to get some opinions on here first.
