Disappointed

I'm a little disappointed, just left my doctors appt and I'm still not dilated. I'm 37 weeks and 2 days. I'm so anxious for her to come out already. But the doctor said not doesn't really matter if im dilating or not. She said my cervix is getting softer and she can feel the baby's head and she said that the baby is really really low! Was anyone else not dilated then gave birth like a week later or anything?
