My birth story a month later

I had my baby boy on Sept 21st,2016 I was 38 weeks 1 day

I started having mild contractions the day before which I thought were just braxton hicks so I didn't really pay them any mind. Then later on that night they started to get more intense and I started to time them. They were five to seven minutes apart and lasted from 1 to 3 minutes. While having contractions I was also using the bathroom every minute literally (not knowing it was my amniotic fluid leaking). So at around 7 that morning I called my cousin to take me to the hospital . they checked me I was only 1 cm then they checked my fluid and it was low so they told me I was being induced. At around 10 maybe 11 they started me on pitocin that's when the contractions really hit. I went from 1 cm to 3 cm to 5cm within a few hours at 5 cm I asked for a epidural. The contractions weren't as bad but I still felt them. After a while my baby's heart rate kept dropping with each contraction so my obgyn decided a c section was best. At 5:13 pm I gave birth to a handsome baby boy weighing 4 lbs 12 oz (apparently he stopped getting nutrients while in the womb that's why he was only 4lbs). He had to stay in the nicu for a week after being born because he had billirubin( longest week of my life) . He's now 5 weeks and is healthy and I am so in love.
