cervix check?

What was your experience and how far along? I'm going in tomorrow at 37 weeks and if offered not sure if I want to say yes or no. First pregnancy so what you can tell me helps a lot! Thanks mamas!

Have had mine checked twice now. 36 weeks and 37. Will again in 2 days at 38. First time was a little uncomfortable but not really painful. Only dilated to 1cm. Second time didn't hurt at all, probably cause I wasn't nervous that time

I got my first cervix check today 36weeks exactly it didn’t hurt getting it done of course uncomfortable and some pressure but not enough to make me wince in pain. But directly afterwards I felt a lot if heaviness and pressure as if baby’s head was pushing down but that was here and there but I kid you not I got it done 10am and have been cramping on and off pretty painful to the point it was making it hard to walk cause they would come and go the more I kept walking and i would also have bad cramping from getting on from sitting or laying down.. and its 1am and STILL having sharp cramping here and there. My next appointment is supposed to be the same since I’m officially in the 9th month and having my appointments now every week but honestly I’m going to tell them to not do the cervix check the after pain for me is brutal. Plus when they checked today my cervix was completely closed and I wasn’t dilated at all so really I’m good lol.

If your cervix is high it hurts like a mother f***er! Trust me! Mine is really high and I thought I was going to have to murder someone that pain was sooooo bad. I was 37 weeks and 4 days!

Cervix check don't hurt!!! I would say yes because it let the doctor know whether or not u dilated and at 37 weeks u should no questions ask.

My dr won't do it till 38 weeks. That's tuesday. I'm not excited. I've heard it's pretty uncomfortable. If it hurts to have fingers in me, just think when this giant human comes out

Ftm.
My first was at 35 weeks and it didn't hurt at all. She kinda talked me through what she was doing and what it should be feeling like. I was 1cm dilated at this time.
I felt mild cramping for six hours after.

We skipped week 36.

My last was at 37 weeks and I thought I was going to die. I'm fairly certain she did a membrane sweep, because she had already announced I was at 1cm still. Then she continued to move her fingers around in a strange way. I didn't ask if she did, though I plan to at my next appointment.
I had really bad BH and cramping with this check. The BH were set at 5-6 minutes apart for nearly 3 hours, and then they faded away.

I do not remember it hurting when they checked me while preggo with my daughter. I remember it feeling weird but not painful. Also, do not remember them offering just that they checked me.

Super painful 😖 and be prepared lol. It's like they put a whole fist in you..but maybe if the baby has dropped it won't be as bad....

Wasn't painful for me! I wanted them to check every time they asked that way I would know what's going on with the baby
